Insect-friendly lights for quality habitations
Insects orient towards natural sources of light, and at night, that would be the moon and stars only. Since the introduction of streetlights, natural nightly sources of lights are superimposed by artificial lights more and more often. Streetlights and species preservation don't need to be a contradiction. The wavelength of white and warm LED lamps is less visible for most insects, plus it uses less electricity. If LED lights are shielded at the top, the effects on species and climate protection are even more pronounced. A simple solution with a major impact!
